We are Split Rock - a "local" band, founded in late 2005, and comprised of members from Lake Placid, and Saranac Lake, NY. We come from varied and diverse musical backgrounds, and we celebrate them all.
Our music can best be described as
"lighter, classy Classic Rock, with a touch of Jazz & Folk"
[Venues - Please go to this "Venu Page" for further info on us].

We play a selection of songs that can fit just about any venue - from restaurants and private parties, to bars and outdoor family oriented events and concerts. A typical set might include songs from Tom Petty, Van Morrison, Jackson Browne, Steely Dan, The Eagles, The Moody Blues, The Beatles,... . Along with great vocal harmonies, our drummer plays an electronic drum kit (his sound comes out of an amplifier!). This allows the entire band to play at any volume that is required.

For those "smaller venues", we now offer a "Less Plugs" version of the band.
Normally we like to play using our "full-size setup" - for a "richer" sound,
but if the situation is better suited to a smaller / quieter space, we can also do that.
(See the Venue Page or Photo Page for an image of the "less plugs" version of Split Rock).
